Lab Assignment 1

For the first lab assignment, we were supposed to pick someplace on campus and talk to a random stranger to see if they'd let us photograph them. Since it was raining and cold when we got out of class, I decided to check out the UC poster sale. That was a good idea, since the poster sale was going on, and there were lots of people near by. Here are my photos:

Ryan Bonnington, SFA student, admires the posters at the poster sale in the UC this week.

The poster sale occurs once a semester in the front of the UC, and has all the posters on display for the students, such as Ryan Bonnington, to look at before they eat.

SFA students, including Ryan Bonnington, enjoy the poster sale in the UC because they have hundreds of posters that a student can buy to decorate their dorm room.

One thing my friends and I love to do is act like they're models and I'm the photographer. I love it because I get to practice shooting from different angles, and see how things come out. They like it because they just like pictures of themselves. We went to Starbucks and had a "photo shoot", and this was the best one:

Moedeling is something that lots of people try to do. Drew Martinez, SFA sophomore, practices his disenchanted teenager at the Starbucks on North Street.

Who says the first week of school isn't exhausting?

"The first week of school is always the hardest, " SFA sophomore Ashley Bostic said. "It's always hard to get back on the right sleep schedule."

Give 'em the axe big jacks!

Last week I went to the SFA v. Sam Houston mens basketball game. It was a lot of fun. I've always enjoyed watching basketball, but this was the first time that I ever tried to take pictures of it. It took a few tries, but I finally figured out how to take some good pictures. I had a lot of fun trying to figure it out, and took lots of pictures that I really liked. My favorite picture though came from the last second of the game. SFA was down by 2 or 3 and needed a 3 point shot to win (or tie, I can't remember). They kept trying within the last minute, but never made it. At the very last second, one of the players threw the ball from the three point line. I had turned around and started walking back to where my friends were, so unfortunately, it wasn't courtside. However, I'm still proud of the way it turned out:

As the final seconds on the clock run out, SFA takes one last shot to win the game as hopeful fans, coaches and teammates watch.

Photo Assignment 1

For the first assignment, What People Do, I decided to go to the Intermural fields and get pictures of people playing out there.

Enjoying the first nice day of the semester, SFA students (from l-r) Bethany Rassmussen, Whitney Allen, and Josh Pace play in the sun.

Taking a break from classes, SFA students enjoy the aftermath of all the rain in Nacogdoches this past week.

After a long day of classes, Ashley Bostic and Coorey Robinson enjoy the nicer weather and being with their friends.
